This project consisted of construction of a wetlands habitat at Sams Lake in Fayette County, GA along a tributary of the Flint River. Four wetland areas were created with dikes and water level control structures to create a wetland mitigation site for future projects at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Boardwalks along the wetlands were built for public access. The wetlands included islands for birds to establish nests. Also a countless number of aquatic plants were planted.
